SINGER (sewing machine) cake

Auntie Hessie is a sweet lady who loves sewing, and little birdie told me she has produced lots of amazing works with her vintage SINGER machine. No job is too small for her vintage machine, and she has been using the machine since the 60s-70s. For her 80th birthday,  her good friend specially organised a sewing machine replica cake to surprise her. That's really sweet of her.....

International Workshops are now available

Hope everyone had a great break during New Year & celebrating Australia Day in style. Where is Handi? I am currently teaching in Bangkok and having lots of fun at Sweet Obsession. Feeling really blessed to be the 1st overseas teacher @ Sweet Obsession, classes are running well, students are wayyy to good. I am really happy with the their results and I will post Bangkok photos when I come back to show you their great works.

Handi's Cakes in Singapore

Hello all,

I just came back from Merlionland, Singapore, super hot & humid but I love it, I felt really happy as this was my 2nd international teaching debut. Big thank you to the world's most beautiful baker, Siti from Siti's Delights for  inviting me to your baking school & organising the events.

Thank you to all my hardworking students for turning up without fail.
Miss you all ... miss hearing Singlish (Singapore English)...and guess wat, my Singlish has improved too.

Handi's Cakes won Cake Decorator of the Year!

What a night! I went to the Annual National Baking Industry Association (NBIA) Gala Awards Night on May 10 in Brisbane. The event was themed ‘A Parisian Masquerade’ featuring special guests Adriano Zumbo and Kirsten Tibballs!

I was so excited to be seated at the head table, I felt just like a VIP! It was so great to meet Adriano, Kirsten and Julie Whitehead. The president of NBIA was there too and the award was presented by the president of Cocoa Berry (one of the major sponsors).

It was such a great moment receiving the award for Cake Decorator of the Year! The award is now on display in my shop!
