Handi's Cakes won Cake Decorator of the Year!

What a night! I went to the Annual National Baking Industry Association (NBIA) Gala Awards Night on May 10 in Brisbane. The event was themed ‘A Parisian Masquerade’ featuring special guests Adriano Zumbo and Kirsten Tibballs!

I was so excited to be seated at the head table, I felt just like a VIP! It was so great to meet Adriano, Kirsten and Julie Whitehead. The president of NBIA was there too and the award was presented by the president of Cocoa Berry (one of the major sponsors).

It was such a great moment receiving the award for Cake Decorator of the Year! The award is now on display in my shop!

World Aids Day Dinner 2010

Handi's Cakes proudly supported the spectacular World Aids Day Dinner 2010 and I am proud to be part of this really meaningful event.

I made 5 tiers cake for the event with red signature ribbons all over the cake. Transporting the cake was a little challenging, but the cake finally made it to the dinner.
